Downtown Omaha, NE is the central business, government, and social core of the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area. It stretches from 20th Street on the west to the Missouri River on the east, and Leavenworth Street on the South to Chicago Street on the North (and includes the CenturyLink Center Omaha).

The Old Market, a neighborhood located downtown, is the home to restaurants, art galleries, stores, street performers and food trucks. This cultural area maintains its historic design by maintaining its historic buildings and brick roads from the turn of the century.

The newly constructed TD Ameritrade Park is the site of the NCAA Men’s College World Series – one of the nation’s largest attractions. The CenturyLink Center Omaha is an 18,300-seat arena and a convention center that holds basketball games, hockey games, professional wrestling events, and concerts, as well as the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting.

Some of downtown’s cultural attractions include the Durham Western Heritage Museum, the Holland Performing Arts Center, and the celebrated Orpheum Theater – host to major Broadway plays such as “Chicago” and “The Lion King.”
